This mead is an example of what we can do when we learn from our mistakes, rise above where we were before, and fall up to a better place. Falling Up is good enough on its own. We like it chilled. Served on ice it's almost a cocktail all by itself. Try it as a mixer and let the spice character imparted by the hibiscus bring out something unique in whatever creations you come up with.

      In June, when the delicate cranberry blossoms are emerging, honey bees are darting around the bogs to ensure that they develop into tart and juicy cranberries. The bees have done their part, and we have done ours. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the refreshing tartness of these Massachusetts cranberries artfully balanced with honey in this cranberry mead. Bog is part of our Radius Series where we strive to source as many ingredients as possible within as small a radius from the meadery as possible. This mead is made with cranberries from the bogs of Old Earth Orchards in Taunton Massachusetts. The painting on the label is by Kimberly Beauregard (ArtistKimB) of Holyoke, MA.  We felt it captured the spirit and colors of fall in the cranberry bogs perfectly and are delighted to be able to display her work on our bottle.  If you are interested in more of her work you can find it at her ArtistKimB Etsy Page.

      When we learned that Craic Sauce ages some of their hot sauce in barrels we knew we needed to try something fun and different. This mead was born from a desire to experiment and collaborate. The tropical heat wave in this bottle is the result of aging a passion fruit mead in a Craic Sauce barrel, specifically Brian Boru's Curry. Using sweet and tart fruit to rein in untamed heat yielded this controlled burn you can sip and enjoy with anyone brave enough to share that space beside you.

      Tastings must be booked at least 3 hours ahead of time to ensure we are ready to host you, or call to see if we can make an exception.  Please do not arrive without booking ahead of time since we otherwise can't guarantee we will be available to host you. Our small production only space is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Bedford MA. We can host tastings for groups of 2 to 6 adults. You'll be able to see everything we do, where we do it. We offer an extremely genuine and memorable experience, but more importantly you'll be able to enjoy a variety of our meads in a variety of styles, and start your own journey of discovery finding your beverage blisspoint. We charge a small fee to offset the cost of our time and products, but we're sure you'll find the experience highly worth it! Note: tastings are non-refundable

      We made a mead with three rich dark honeys: buckwheat blossom, avocado blossom, and knotweed blossom. Then we aged it in an Elijah Craig bourbon barrel. We could listen to this song forever and hope that you enjoy the performance on your taste buds as well. As an added bonus...the mead maker's wife thinks this is the best thing he's ever made!

We chose one of his pieces, Outlandish, to represent this mead because we want the visual representation to be as unique and stunning as the flavor. Knotweed and Pink Peppercorn blossom honeys combine with green black walnuts to yield notes of date, black cherry, brown sugar, molasses, licorice, cinnamon and a touch of grape with a nutty finish.

      Many of the descriptions you hear for buckwheat honey are not very appealing: barnyard, horse blanket, mousey. Our goal was to use this honey to create an earthy, fun, appealing mead, and we found that apples help to frame these complex characteristics in a delightfully earthy way. So here you have it, Apple of the Farm, with deep layers of earthy complexity and bright apple highlights.

This mead is made with honey from our beehives here on our property in Bedford, Massachusetts. The radius can't get any tighter than that!
