Welcome Home, again.       In June, when the delicate cranberry blossoms are emerging, honey bees are darting around the bogs to ensure that they develop into tart and juicy cranberries. The bees have done their part, and we have done ours. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the refreshing tartness of these Massachusetts cranberries artfully balanced with honey in this cranberry mead. Bog is part of our Radius Series where we strive to source as many ingredients as possible within as small a radius from the meadery as possible. This mead is made with cranberries from the bogs of Old Earth Orchards in Taunton Massachusetts. The painting on the label is by Kimberly Beauregard (ArtistKimB) of Holyoke, MA.  We felt it captured the spirit and colors of fall in the cranberry bogs perfectly and are delighted to be able to display her work on our bottle.  If you are interested in more of her work you can find it at her ArtistKimB Etsy Page.

      The first time we tasted these crabapples while out walking we knew they were special. These mouth puckering gems were artfully paired with a dark rich knotweed honey, and then aged for one month in a bourbon barrel. Edna has exceeded our expectations, and we think Mrs. Krabappel would give her an A+.       On rare occasions you can find both Aaronap Cellars and Blisspoint Meadery at the same local farmers markets. It was a moment like this that inspired the creation of this pyment. We left the grape growing up to the experts at Aaronap, while we combined them with a carefully selected blend of honeys. The result is this dry pyment, with grape and honey nuances presenting flavors you can’t get from either one on its own, a true collaboration. Notes of tart green grape, nectarine, and grapefruit build the flavor profile, with delicate honey nuances typing it all together.

      This is the first of what we hope to be many more in the Singularity series of meads. All ingredients are sourced from a singular location on the planet.  Additionally, the honey used in our Singularity meads is from the nectars gathered from the blossoms of the fruit used in the mead.  Honeybees suckle at the fruit blossoms, pollinating and encouraging fruit growth, then return to the hive with their bounty.  That same fruit grows, ripens, and is then harvested for use in our mead.  Both honey and fruit, nurtured by bees, coming together again on our bottles. The ingredients for Singularity I were gathered from a berry farm in Vermont, home to Sisters of Anarchy ice cream.  It's a beautiful spot, with delicious ice cream.  We've enjoyed many family vacations in the area. Singularity I: a delectable fusion of aronia berries, blackberries, and marquette grapes, crafted with precision to deliver a sensory symphony that tantalizes your palate.
      The aroma of Singularity I is a captivating prelude to the tasting experience.  As you bring the glass to your nose, you are greeted with an enchanting bouquet of ripe blackberries, highlighted by the earthy richness of aronia berries. Hints of dark cherries and currants are present, interwoven with subtle undertones of sweet vanilla from the marquette grapes.  The fragrance is both fruity and sophisticated, promising a harmonious blend of flavors to come.
