The 2022 batch of our bourbon barrel aged crabapple mead (Edna) is running low. We've got a few bottles left. The 2023 batch is in the tanks, but won't see bottles until around March.

Boo! Don't be afraid, even though these two new meads are scarily delicious.

Two new mead releases this week, available for the first time ever at the last @brightonfarmersmkt and @arlingtonmafarmersmarket of the season. Make sure you stock up for the holiday season and winter.

Singularity I - aronia berry, blackberry, and marquette grape mead. All ingredients sourced from a single farm in Vermont, including honey from the nectars of the same berries harvested for this mead. Berries and nectars reunited once again in our bottles! This mead presents as a luscious berry forward mead, with velvety red wine tannins and body, and notes of dark cherry. This may be my new favorite!

Mom's - Apple Pie mead! This is an apple mead with cinnamon and vanilla. Perfect for your holiday gatherings, or when you just want to be reminded of that special desert made by a special someone.

After Friday, you can place online orders for local pickup in Bedford, or check out our events calendar for our winter market schedule.

If you want a mead that we don't normally bring to markets, place an online order, select Pickup at Farmers Market, and write in the order comments which market and when you intend to pick up the order.

This beautiful organic ginger from @oldfriendsfarm in Amhert, MA, is destined for our new ginger mead. This ginger is so fresh and fragrant its hard not to expect great things from it. Think spicy ginger beer burn, fresh and bright ginger aroma and taste, and honey candied ginger in a still full strength mead. That's what we have in mind. Looking forward to sharing this with you, but first we have to work our magic in our tanks.

We're very close now! One step closer to having Falling Up back in bottles. Now that we've pressed the hibiscus, our best selling apple/strawberry/hibiscus mead will go through a clarification process before it lands in bottles.

If you can think of any second uses for post fermentation hibiscus please let us know!

This falls squarely in the category of finding a good home for stuff I don't want.

The color of the printing on these glasses is off, not what I wanted. And the printing is smudged and not crisp in some places. I won't sell these. The quality isn't high enough for a Blisspoint product. But I will give them away to people who want them.

While supplies last, for ANY online order of mead, whether for delivery, local pickup, or farmers market pickup, just mention in the order comments how many glasses you want, and what size (5oz or 16oz) and I'll include them in your order for free.

Okay Billerica, I know its raining, but please head out to the @billericacommfarmersmarket anyway. To make it worth your time we're releasing these two beauties today, for you!

These two meads are SO GOOD, I kinda don't want to share them with you, and keep them all for myself, but I have to, because business stuff and all...

Midnight Symphony = mead made with three dark honeys (avocado, buckwheat, knotweed), and then aged in a bourbon barrel (abv=16%).

Pomme de Ferme = apple mead made with buckwheat honey (abv=15.5%). Earthy honey notes framed by bright apple highlights.

Wow! The smell alone will make you want to dive into our new coffee mead. We're using a very special light roast Ethiopian coffee bean from John @happybeansroaster. We trialed several different beans and roasts, but THIS IS THE ONE!

Our coffee mead will be ready for release in about a month, so stay tuned.

Happy Labor Day weekend Wilmington!

We're bringing a special mead to the @wilmingtonfarmersmarket1 today. Markette Pyment is a dry, tart grape mead made with Marquette grapes grown by @aaronapcellars, your other favorite MA wine vendor at the markets. We left the grape growing to the experts while we handled the honey fermentation, a true collaboration!

At Blisspoint we like to split our vanilla beans to help more efficiently release the flavor. These Tahitian vanilla beans from Ecuador are destined for our cacao nibs mead. The goal is not to create a vanilla flavor, but instead to enhance the chocolate flavor we extract from the cacao nibs.

Hello Acton-Boxborough! New meads making appearances today at the @ab.farmersmarket. We've got our normal lineup, in addition to:

Raspberry Home: jammy locally foraged raspberries and MA wildflower honey (12% abv)

Bog: locally grown MA cranberry mead (12%)

Seven O'Clock: cranberry, lime, strawberry mead (6.9%)

Come on out and try some. I'm going to be working extra hard to make the rain hold off until the end of the market so that you've got nothing to worry about!

Our girls did a new thing!

Water Tiger is a peach and raspberry mead made with honey from our girls in Bedford MA. The raspberries were foraged from the neighborhood around the meadery, and the peaches were given to us by @kimballfruitfarm.

The first sip reveals delicious peaches and fruity honey, followed quickly by an escort of raspberries providing an acidic balance in this sweet mead.

All ingredients were assembled in the year of the Water Tiger. This is a very small batch of mead and will be available exclusively at the @arlingtonmafarmersmarket, since that is where the peaches were given to us, or for online orders.

Added a second super to the Somerville hives today after a great @unionsqmarket. A super is the hive box above the brood boxes. Honey bees will store their surplus honey in the supers. And you know what that means? We're one step closer to a Somerville honey mead. Can't wait to bring you a taste of Somerville!

Ecuadorian cacao nibs, provided by our friends at @suenos_cacao. Been working on this concept for a while now, and after a few experimental trials we're finally ready to go! The richness and depth of flavor of these nibs is unmatched. They'll be paired with Ecuadorian tahitian vanilla beans from @shawn_dahoneyman, and a blend of avocado blossom and sweet clover honeys. This mead is going to be fantastic!

These are green Black Walnuts, before the inner nut shell has formed and hardened. You can still slice through them easily with a cleaver. If you lick one you'll get a strong bitterness and astringency, and you'll think someone would have to be nuts (pun intended) to think they can make a mead from these, yet that is exactly what we're doing at Blisspoint.

In the spirit (pun intended) of black walnut liquors and wines of the world, like Nocino or Vin de Noix, we've embarked on a voyage of discovery to learn what we can do with these when fermented with honey. This is a long term project...

Many thanks to our friends at @hollywoodfarm for foraging these nuts for us, and inspiring the idea in the first place.
