It always amazes me what berries get reduced to when you squeeze all of the goodness out of them and leave the solids behind.  After fermenting with honey to create Patch, our multi berry mead, 240 pounds of berries reduces to about 35 pounds of berry fruit leather in a single bucket after pressing.

Our first batch of Patch came out amazing.  This one is even bigger and better!  Stay tuned for release details...

We're bringing the heat to the winter market today! 

As a special treat for the @roslindalefarmersmarket, we'll have Hot Pepper Jam, our grape, strawberry, black currant, and raspberry mead with chili peppers for a bit of balanced background heat in this sweet dessert style mead.  Sure to warm you up on these winter days!

Happy New Year Lowell!  We'll be making our first appearance of the year at the @farmlowell market in the @millno5 building on Sunday, 10am to 1pm.

After you grab an empanada from @empanadadada and stock up on fresh veggies from @northbostonfarm, in lightning speed of course, come up to the 4th floor and check out our new mead lineup.  We've got many of your favorites and are also introducing a couple new meads that have not visited the market before.

Why all this excitement over our new tank? 

We've been delaying making more Grove, our gold medal winning dry orange blossom honey mead, until we had a higher capacity temperature controlled tank.  There's no room for error with this fermentation, and in order for us to bring you larger quantities we need to control the temperature precisely so that we can maintain the highest level of quality that won Grove a gold medal in the World's largest mead only competition.

Our first batch in this new tank will be Grove, but it will be followed by many more Blisspoint creations of equally high quality and deliciousness.

One of the more tedious things I've done lately, in the name of making great mead, is manually calibrate our new tank with volume markers.  285 gallons, measured out with 57 x 5 gallon increments.  So of course I needed to share this with you!  Fortunately it only took me a few minutes because I work so fast ... 😜

Adorning the walls of the @millno5 building on the 4th floor today at the @farmlowell market I found this sign.  There's no door, no window, no other signs.  I've found nothing on google.  I watched for a while and nobody walked through the wall or otherwise appeared mysteriously.  But damn am I curious!  If you know anything about this let me know.  Maybe just project some thoughts my way or something...

Just imagine how fast I could bottle with TWO hands!

Our newest mead, awaiting labels sometime in January, is a luscious rich mead made with aronia berries, blackberries, Marquette grape juice, and of course honey!  All ingedients sourced from a single farm in Vermont.  This is single source concept piece that we hope to do more of, and with how amazing this one came out we most certainly will in the future!

Thank you Lowell MA!  Your reception for @blisspointmeadery at the @farmlowell market last Sunday was fantastic.  We stood at a site of literary history, commemorated by this plaque, tasting a bit of beverage history with our mead, the oldest known alcoholic drink.  I'm pretty sure Jack and William would approve.

I cherish this feedback because it was unsolicited, heartfelt, well articulated, and of course...100% accurate 😛. It came from @carvinwilson, the 2019 National Mead Maker Of The Year, whose opinion I value, and whose energy devotion to the mead community I highly respect.

This came before Orchard, our apple mead, was even available for public sale.  Hadn't even printed labels for it yet.  Hadn't won a Mazer Cup medal for it yet. Hello Connecticut!  We can now ship our meads to your state (through our interstate shipping affiliate Vinoshipper). The one caveat is that we can only ship our > 7% ABV meads.  CT regulations make it too cost prohibitive for us to ship our lower ABV meads into the state.

If you want to get your hands on our lower ABV meads, like our refreshing Symbee meads or our delicious bulamels like Motown Philly or Chai, you can ship to a UPS Access Point just over the border in MA directly from our website and pick it up there.

The next batch of Edna, our bourbon barrel aged crabapple mead, is one step closer to bottles.  After fermenting on the apple pulp it is now going in for a rest in a Heaven Hills bourbon barrel.

The first batch of Edna came out SO good, my only regret was having such a small quantity and not enough to share at all of our markets.  This next batch is 5x bigger.

There are a few bottles of Edna batch 1 still available, but they'll be gone at some point in December, so grab one today.

Very excited to finally be able to flash our new hardware.  Orchard, our apple mead, won a silver medal in the apple mead category at the Mazer Cup International Mead Competition.  This is the largest mead competition in the world.

The gold medal winner was a Japanese producer, so I guess you could say that Blisspoint Meadery makes the best apple mead the USA!!

Standing next to Orchard, with similar genetics, is Barreled Orchard.  We took Orchard and aged it in a bourbon barrel, to create a next level experience!

Red berry and cherry notes.  Background spicy complexity and depth from heavy toasted oak.  Hibiscus tartness balanced with floral orange blossom honey character.  This hibiscus mead from Blisspoint Meadery has it all!  And its getting great reviews:

"Hello!  Today I bought a bottle of Red Dish mead at the @davissqfarmersmarket in Somerville. Drank some with a spicy garlic ginger sausage stir fry with broccoli, carrots and mushrooms over rice.
